International superstar Charlie Puth falls emotional in a Tiktok video while announcing his impending music comeback in the next few weeks.
The supposedly euphoric comeback announcement turned into an emotional rollercoaster after Puth broke down while announcing his upcoming single ‘That’s Hilarious,’ in a Tiktok and Instagram video posted by the singer on March 24.

The video began with a greeting message, and the next few seconds brought the singer to tears with the statement saying, “You know I’m really excited for the song to come out but you know every time I hear it I’m brought back to a time that was really, really, really challenging in my life.”
Puth referenced a 2019 breakup in the heartbreaking video, and although he didn’t mention any person, many have speculated that it was the time when he dated fellow singer Charlotte Lawrence in 2019.
“I never told people what happened to me and the pain that I went through going through the worst breakup of my life in 2019,” the singer shared.
Behind his emotional video is a backstory about his upcoming song, which is inspired by a challenging and painful breakup.
Charlie publicly confirmed his relationship with Lawrence in a Valentine’s Day post in February 2019. Even though it’s still unclear until this moment when they broke up, Charlie released a now-deleted post on Instagram sharing that he’s single last June 2020.
Charlotte Lawrence is an American singer-songwriter and model who made her debut in 2014 and has been featured in several US magazines.
Puth mentioned that hearing the song is painful for him while releasing the weight on his part and breaking down in tears, “I’m also really excited for you to hear it as well, because I just heard the master, but it just brought me back to 2019, which was the f***** worst year of my life.”
He further added that he doesn’t post stupid videos like what he’s doing at the moment and becoming emotional. Furthermore, the singer concluded the video with, “This is the hardest song that I’ve ever had to put together and I’m so excited for you to hear it. So thank you.”
Charlie Puth is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who rocketed to popularity in 2015 with his breakthrough song “See You Again,” and has since succeeded in making major hit singles including Marvin Gaye, One Call Away, Attention, We Don’t Talk Anymore, and many more. His most recent song, Light Switch, was released on January 20, 2022.
His comeback date has not yet been confirmed, but he also said in the Tiktok video that it would be coming very soon.
