Local government units (LGUs) in Antique are urged to prioritize household graduates of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in their social services interventions.
Antique Pantawid Provincial Link Jeffrey Gabucay said in an interview Wednesday that 1,770 households exited the program last year. They were turned over to their respective LGUs during the 4Ps Kilos-Unlad graduation in December.
“The 4Ps Kilos-Unlad graduation is being conducted for households exiting the program due to their improved well-being and having no more eligible child for monitoring,” he said.
The households were turned over to their respective LGUs for post-support services to sustain their level of well-being and to keep them from backsliding into poverty.
“The support services that could be provided by the LGUs are livelihood and scholarships for their children who are already more than 18 years old,” Gabucay said. (PNA)
