The provincial government of Bulacan has bagged the 2022 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) Award in the province-level category in the search organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
The commendable efforts in adopting and instituting innovative and best practices in good governance, in partnership with the private sector, conferred the province the coveted award during the 48th Philippine Business Conference and Expo held at the Fiesta Pavilion of The Manila Hotel in Manila on Thursday.
Governor Daniel Fernando, in a statement on Friday, thanked the PCCI for the recognition and vowed that Bulacan would continue to work on its commitment to establish a vibrant local economy, provide opportunities for every Bulakenyo, and ensure that no one would be left behind.
“Ang mga ganitong uri ng parangal ay nagpapatunay na tinatahak natin ang tamang landas tungo sa tagumpay. Paalala ito para sa amin na lalong magpursige upang ibigay ang pinakamataas na uri ng serbisyo-publiko sa aming mga kalalawigan (These kinds of awards prove that we are on the right path to success. It is a reminder for us to work hard to provide the highest quality of public service to our province mates),” he said.
Fernando received the award from President Ferdinand R. Marcos, who was the guest of honor and speaker at the gathering of thousands of local and foreign business leaders.
In 2020, Bulacan also bagged the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (Provincial Level) during the virtual 46th Philippine Business Conference and Expo. (PNA)
