The Department of Social Welfare and Development in the Caraga Region (DSWD-13) received 3,188 learning materials over the weekend to intensify the implementation of the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program (TBTP) in Butuan City and Surigao del Norte province.
“These knowledge products are designed to support young learners, their parents, and tutors in strengthening reading and learning skills under the TBTP,” the DSWD-13 said in a statement Monday.
The materials included 1,386 copies of the Workbook for Learners 1, 1,386 copies of Nanay-Tatay Modules, 277 copies of the Guidebook for Tutors, and 139 copies of the Guidebook for Youth Development Workers.
The agency developed the materials with education experts. They will serve as structured guides for a 20-day tutorial program and facilitate the Nanay-Tatay learning sessions.
The materials include the Enhanced Nanay-Tatay Teacher Modules for Youth Development Workers, the Enhanced Nanay-Tatay Teacher Modules for Parents and Guardians, the Enhanced Guidebook for Tutors, and the Workbook for Learners.
The DSWD-13 launched the TBTP earlier this month in various areas of Butuan City and Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte province.
It aims to support the learning environment for schoolchildren and reinforce the importance of literacy development in early education.
“The TBTP ensures a well-supported learning environment for children, reinforcing the importance of literacy development in early education,” the DSWD-13 said. (PNA)
