ABS-CBN star Paulo Avelino gained another prestigious recognition, bagging the Outstanding Asian Star title at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2026 held in South Korea.
Paulo won the award for his stellar performance as Vincent Cabrera in the mystery-romance series, “The Alibi,” which he co-starred with Kim Chiu, who also took home the same honor in 2024. He garnered 43.63% of votes from global fans via the Idol Champ app.
“I want to thank my home network, ABS-CBN, for the opportunity. I want to thank Dreamscape for creating the story of the show and my character. To Prime Video, for bridging Filipino stories all over the world and, most especially, to the fans who voted me, thank you so much. You’ve been there, you stuck through me, you’ve watched my shows, you’ve watched my movies, paid for the cinema, so I appreciate you, guys,” shared Paulo in his acceptance speech.
Joining Kim and Paulo, among the past winners of the Outstanding Asian Star award are Belle Mariano (2022), Daniel Padilla (2025), and Kathryn Bernardo (2023).
